Most beaches in Serifos are easily accessible, but there are also some beaches that you need to reach through driving on a dirt road, after a long walk or just by boat.

In Serifos, the picturesque villages with their characteristic Cycladic architecture add their own sparkle to the amazing scene of the island. The capital of Serifos, the magical Chora, with its windmills and paved pedestrian streets, is a beautiful place.

Serifos seems to have played an important role in ancient Greece due to its subsoil and thus is associated with a couple of myths. The most important is the myth of Perseus. The great hero of Greek mythology grew up in Serifos. From Serifos he started for his adventures and there he returned after his achievement to kill Medusa.

Many believe that Serifos is the island of Cyclops and that here Odysseus was renamed as Kanenas (None) and there are also relatively toponyms on the Island. The Cyclops are said to have built some of the most important monuments of the island, such as the White Tower and the Walls of Liomandra.

Serifos is a place you can relax and enjoy the wonderful nature and especially the enchanting beaches. You can have fun at the bars of the island or spend romantic evenings enjoying the sunset and unforgettable views.
Serifos keeps its traditional island physiognomy unaffected. That's why it is considered as one of the most popular and favourite vacation destinations. In recent years, it has become one of Greece's favourite islands due to the intense Cycladic atmosphere, the wonderful beaches and the hospitality of the locals.
